Why the C8?
The CAMON C8 Rotavator is the best-selling rotavator in its field and over the past 30 years has built a reputation as a tough and durable machine that will perform in even the most demanding of conditions.
The C8 is the first choice for many professional landscapers across the country and the preferred machine for the majority of UK hire outlets, which is testament to the durability and superb performance of this outstanding rotavator.
How does the C8 rotavator work?
The C8 uses two different drives; one which controls the wheels to move the machine forwards and the other which controls the digging tines. Because both drives are functioning simultaneously the machine is effectively doing all the work. The tines actually rotate backwards so they’re not moving the rotavator forwards, in fact they’re digging into the ground from the side that has already been dug towards the side that hasn’t.
It might appear as if one should counteract the other with the wheels driving forwards and the tines rotating backwards, but actually they don’t interfere with each other, they work in perfect harmony together! The C8 will keep digging for as long as it is in contact with the ground and in good conditions, and after a few passes, it can dig down to a depth of up to 9″ (23cm).
The digging depth is easily controlled via the control lever which is located on top of the digging box. To increase the digging depth simply move the lever up or for shallow digging move it all the way in.
Is the C8 easy to use?
The CAMON C8 is very easy to use. With a 20″ (52cm) rotavator box on the rear of the machine, the C8 is perfectly balanced. Combine this with a single forward and reverse speed and you’ve got a rotavator that’s ideal for allotments and gardens and will quickly get your job done with the minimum effort on your part.
